Abstract

In recent times Work Life Balance has become more relevant in the Global Business Competitive Environment and a very critical driver for Employee Engagement Strategy. To successfully manage the uncertain and explosive environment HR Professionals believe Employee Engagement is significant to the success of the Business.

The Purpose of this paper is to identify the Work Life Balance Initiatives and Practices and its impact on Employee Engagement.Work-life balance Practices are directly related to Employee Engagement. Various studies have shown that employees workmore harderwho believe that they have good work life balance than those who don’t. The Reduced effort at work, lower performance and increased absenteeism and turnover are the negative effect of work life conflict. People are more engaged when they feel they have more control over their work life.The engaged employees will be more aligned to organizations vision and work more towards the growth and the well -being of it.

Some of the ingredients of Work Life balance are: flexible working hours, Geo separated teams, remote workplaces (Home offices). This paper through review of the literature examinesthe relationship between work- life balance practices and its impact on employee engagement which in turn affect the productivity and organization culture.
