Use of Digital Technology in Education Its Impact on Academic Achievement of a Student

Abstract

Traditionally the education system was totally depending upon a print media. Digital Technology has taken a very crucial place in teaching and learning process. It is showing a very optimistic impact on academic achievements consistently. Several are the fields in which the use of modern digital techniques provides an increase in teaching and learning potentialities: computer assisted instruction, distance learning, self-evaluation, augmented reality, computer simulations, data exchange and analysis, etc. It is also very important to remember that it is not only whether technology is used or not that makes the difference, but how the technology is used to support teaching and learning. Technology is a benefit, an advantage if the activity is aligned with what has to be learnt.The research conducted to identify the use of digital technology in teaching learning process is helping the student standing confidently in today’s competitive business environment.
