Abstract

The banking sector which plays a very vital role for the development of India has been witnessing major changes. In this changed environment it is necessary to study the ‘operational efficiency’ of banking sector.  In this study an attempt has been made to study the operational efficiency of ICICI Bank Ltd. An attempt has been made to study the growth of advances, deposits and investment pattern of ICICI bank ltd., during the period 1996-97 to 2005-06.
