Detailed Journal Evaluation Report in the ICI Journals Master List database 2022
„Journal of Global Economy”
ISSN: 0975-3931
ICV 2022: 88.11
The result of the assessment in the ICI Journals Master List database – the Index Copernicus Value (ICV) – is a measure of the parametric power of a scientific journal. It indicates to what extent the journal meets international standards in the field of key functional areas of this medium of science.
The ICV consists of two main components:
Punctation
The maximum number of points that a journal can obtain from the entire "quality of the journal" criterion is 100. A journal can also receive negative points (e.g. for delays in publishing or publishing combined issues) – maximum 4 points. Obtaining by a journal an ICV greater than 100 points means that it is indexed in the Web of Science and / or Scopus database and had bibliometric indicators in the two years preceding the year of assessment.
In the evaluation of the ICI Journals Master List 2022 the journal received
88.11 ICV points
(quality of the journal: 88.11 points + journal's impact: 0.00 points).

Perspective of the development of the journal
Journal „Journal of Global Economy” (ISSN: 0975-3931) has successfully passed the indexation process in the ICI Journals Master List database for 2022. The evaluation of the journal was based on the standards described in the indexation procedure, evaluation methodology and Predatory Journals anti-practice policy. Indexing in the ICI database proves that the journal meets the elementary requirements that are currently imposed on scientific journals.
For Editors that plan to strengthen the reach of their journal, we offer an examination of its indexation potential in other major international databases, i.e.:
- Emerging Sources Citation Index (Web of Science),
- Scopus,
- DOAJ,
- ERIH
As part of the service, a precise development strategy is prepared for each journal in the form of a list of tasks necessary to perform. The analysis provides for the verification of the journal's compliance with the indexation criteria appearing in up to four of the above-mentioned databases.
Thanks to the information obtained, it will be possible to precisely assess to what extent a particular journal complies with the standards set by other leading repositories. Identification of existing imperfections will make it possible to start the process of directional changes in the functioning of the journal and the quality of editorial services provided. Knowledge of additional parameters will enable better preparation for the application process for indexation, which is currently one of the most important challenges faced by the editorial offices of scientific journals.
