Retail Investor Behavior and Performance in Mid-Cap and Small-Cap Investments

This study examines retail investor behavior and performance in mid-cap and small-cap investments. It focusses on the unique risks and rewards associated with these market segments. Through a mixed-methods approach, the research analyzes investment patterns, performance metrics and the influence of cognitive biases on retail investors. The findings provide insights into the factors which influence investment decisions and the impact of market conditions on retail investor behavior. The objectives of this paper are to analyze retail investors’ behavior and performance in mid-cap and small-cap sectors and to compare the risk-return characteristics of these investment portfolios.
